Don’t miss “Stingray City”, a sandbar in the middle of the North Sound where you can swim and feed the friendly Southern Rays!”

“Bermuda is my favorite place. It has friendly people, it’s easy to get around, and has wonderful beaches.  I also love Hawaii, specifically Waikiki on the coast of Oahu. I love swimming in the ocean in the morning, then exploring the island in the afternoon. Check back with me after I cruise with Princess in October to Ireland and British Isles. Can’t wait!”

“South America should be on everyone’s travel bucket list, with stunning destinations like the Galápagos Islands in Ecuador, the Lost City of the Incas in Colombia, iconic Machu Picchu in Peru, Tayrona National Park, and the surreal Laguna Colorada in Bolivia, known for its striking red waters and flamingo populations. From ancient ruins to vibrant wildlife and breathtaking landscapes, the continent promises an unforgettable adventure.  Keep in mind, South America’s diverse landscapes and altitudes can affect your body in different ways. Always take time to acclimate to higher altitudes, especially in places like Machu Picchu or the Andes. Stay hydrated, listen to your body, and give yourself time to adjust to make the most of your trip!”

“I’m drawn to destinations that balance adventure and relaxation, whether discovering hidden beaches, immersing in local culture, or finding experiences beyond the usual tourist path. One of my most memorable adventures was hiking the iconic Pitons in St. Lucia. The climb was challenging, but the panoramic views at the top made every step worthwhile! I also loved exploring Costa Rica, with its lush rainforests and amazing wildlife. Cartagena, Colombia, captivated me with its colorful streets and rich history, and sailing through the Panama Canal was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

“Look for destinations that give you a little of everything, culture, history, nature, and time to unwind. The best trips often come from exploring beyond the usual attractions and finding hidden gems.”

“My favorite destination is Italy. The country is rich in world history and architecture, not to mention the unique and fabulous food and wine throughout the diverse regions of the country-a foodies delight!! If time is limited, three must see city visits are Rome, Florence and especially Venice – a city surrounded by water in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. La Bella Vida!!!”

“One of my favorite places to go is the Bahamas. There is so much to see and do, between shopping and sightseeing. Don’t forget about the adventures at Paradise Island!”

Travel Tip:
“I try and go somewhere new every year so I can’t say I have a favorite place. My one rule has always been if we can get it at home or eat there, we pick somewhere else—-usually local like a farmer’s market or a local shop, an Irish pub. Make a list of what you don’t want to forget (especially passport, meds and expensive chargers) and pack those in a carry-on if you’re flying. Anything you may have forgotten can be purchased. Also split clothes with the other person traveling with you in case one suitcase goes somewhere else. Remember—you’re on vacation, enjoy it and don’t let minor things wreck it for you.”

Travel Tip: 
Plan some time to become happily sidetracked! There are always great sites to visit that you don’t know about till you come upon them. Some of my most memorable trips involve spur-of-the-moment stops in places I never thought I’d be interested in seeing.

Travel Tip:
A lot of people panic about needing to get foreign currency for a specific area. If you’re a Member, you can order currency right at our branch locations, and the process is quick and easy! But some places also may just accept USD, check with your Agent to see if where you’re going is one of those places that prefers USD over their own currency.
